Here’s what happening this week in Coral Springs from Oct. 6-10, including pickleball, Mah Jongg and lots of events hosted by the Northwest Regional Library.

Monday

Whet Your Appetite Book Club — 1-2:30 p.m. at the Northwest Regional Library

A monthly book club that meets at Northwest Regional Library is discussing “The Tobacco Wives: A Novel” by Adele Myers.

Fall Back Into Mah Jongg Night — 7 p.m. at Family Bagels of Long Island

Mom’s Play Mah Jongg is organizing a back-to-school Mah Jongg night at Family Bagels of Long Island at 5906 Coral Ridge Dr. Entry costs $30.

Odyssey Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club — 6:15-7:15 p.m. online

The Odyssey Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club organized by the Broward County Library is discussing chapters one through 30 of “The Fox Wife: A Novel” by Yangsze Choo. The social book club reads one book every two months.

Poker at Buffalo Wild Wings — 7 p.m. at 5840 Wiles Road

The No Limit Pub Poker Tour is hosting Monday night and Wednesday night poker at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Karaoke — 6-9 p.m. at AMO Pizzeria

AMO Pizzeria hosts karaoke every Monday night.

Tuesday

Pickleball with Commissioner Shawn Cerra — 8-10 a.m. at Riverside Park

As part of the Coral Springs Let’s Move series, Commissioner Shawn Cerra is hosting pickleball Tuesday morning at Riverside Park. Participants are asked to bring their own paddles. The series is billed as an opportunity to get to know city officials in a more informal setting.

Wednesday

Library Living Room Film Club — 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Northwest Regional Library

The library is screening the documentary “Spine Tingler! The William Castle Story,” examining the life and career of the horror filmmaker. A librarian will lead a discussion after the film.

Coral Sprints Run Club — 6:30 p.m. at The Walk

The Coral Sprints Run Club organizes weekly Wednesday runs at 6:30 p.m. at The Walk, as well as Saturday early-morning runs. All paces are welcome.

Poker at Buffalo Wild Wings — 7 p.m. at 5840 Wiles Road

The No Limit Pub Poker Tour is hosting Monday night and Wednesday night poker at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Friday

Broward County Property Appraiser Help Session — 10:30 a.m.-noon at the Northwest Regional Library

Staff with the Broward County Property Appraiser will answer questions and help residents apply for homestead exemptions and other property tax exemptions.

Tai Chi — 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Northwest Regional Library

Instructor Sabrina Zhang is leading attendees through the meditative “low-impact, slow-motion exercise” of Tai Chi that originated in China as a martial art.

Recurring events

The Northwest Regional Library hosts several events that occur weekly or multiple times a week, including weekly bingo, a “hot topics” discussion group aimed toward adults over 50, an afterschool teen hangout, a U.S. Citizenship & Naturalization Class that helps participants prepare for their citizenship test, and an English Cafe that helps English learners practice the language.
