Singer Doro Pesch to host record release party in Coral Springs. Here are details
Metal and rock fans will have the opportunity to meet industry royalty as Doro Pesch, former frontwoman of the heavy metal band Warlock, makes an appearance at Rock N Roll Ribs in Coral Springs on Monday, Nov. 10.
When Doro began her career in the 1980s, she was one of the first women to break into heavy-metal, both in her home country of Germany and across the globe. She has sold over 10 million albums and played 3,500 concerts across 60 countries.
Doro’s new album, “Warriors of the Sea,” released Oct. 24. Its 40-minute run includes two new songs, two covers and one song released on a prior album, as well as five live tracks.
According to several reports from metal-enthusiast sites, the new music was inspired by two sold-out fan cruises the vocalist hosted this year, evidenced by the swashbuckler-styled sounds and lyrics it contains.
There is also a music video to go with the title track, featuring shots of Doro’s live performances during the cruise.
According to Tix.com, linked in the artist’s Instagram profile, tickets cost $221 .
This includes a one-on-one meet-and-greet with Doro and up to five autographs, as well as a group album listening session, catered vegetarian or vegan dinner and drinks.
Rock N Roll Ribs, co-founded by Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain, will be closed for the event.
