Monday
First day of Coral Springs’ holiday toy drive (all day)
The annual Coral Springs Police Toy Drive is back, collecting unwrapped, new toys to distribute to children in need. Officials are asking for a wide range of items, including sports and outdoor gear, action figures, baby dolls, Legos, board games, bluetooth speakers and headphones, and skincare and grooming sets. MSD Drama Superior Showcase (6 to 9 p.m.)
After the District 7 Florida Thespians awards ceremony, the Thespys, the best young performers will take the stage at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, along with the student-directed one-act show, Testing Testing. Tickets cost $6 and are available on the MSD Drama website here.
Tuesday
Chamber of Commerce economic forecast and business expo (7:30 to 10 a.m.)
Members of the Coral Springs/Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce will present their annual insights into the economic trends shaping the region. Learn how to communicate and connect with anyone (2 to 3 p.m.)
Charles Duhigg, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist and author of the bestselling books “The Power of Habit” and “Smarter Faster Better,” joins Broward County Public Library to discuss his latest work, “Supercommunicators: How to Unlock the Secret Language of Connection.” Packed with case studies and drawing on cutting-edge research, this book can help enhance your conversations ahead of holiday gatherings. Florida Bright Futures Scholarship workshop (4:30 to 5:30 p.m.)

Candlemaking class at Coral Springs Museum of Art (6:15 to 8:15 p.m.)

Learn about free tutoring from Broward libraries (1 to 2:30 p.m.)
Join librarians online and learn about Brainfuse, a free library digital resource offering live, daily one-on-one tutoring for all ages (including adults), career assistance and chess tutoring. Register to attend online here.
Thanksgiving-themed kids cooking class (4 to 5 p.m.)
Kids ages 6 to 12 are invited to Beyond Play Coral Springs for a festive cooking class featuring pumpkin mousse tarts! Plus, they’ll also learn kitchen safety, organization, and the basics of healthy eating in a fun, supportive environment. Tickets cost $25 and are available on the business’ website here. Cousins Maine Lobster food truck comes to Coral Springs (4 to 8 p.m.)

Indoor movie night: The Polar Express (6 to 8 p.m.)
