This weekend in Coral Springs, explore new topics and learn more about longtime favorites.

Whether you’re looking to hunt down old photographs, learn more about conservation or blow off some steam in a new take on the rage room, there’s an activity for all ages and interests in the city.

Plus, opportunities to give back to the community continue throughout the holiday season — including the Coral Springs Police Department’s annual toy drive.

Here’s what’s happening Friday, Nov. 21, through Sunday, Nov. 23:

Friday

Exploring the Archives (2 to 3 p.m.)

Join Broward County Public Library Special Collections curator Rochelle Pienn and Librarian Senior Gregory Hankins for an in-depth guide to finding unique sources on everything from Black history to vintage pop culture — all at the push of a button.

This is an online event. Learn more and register to attend on the library event’s page here.

Ben Folds and a Piano Tour at Coral Springs Center for the Arts (8 p.m.)

Ben Folds’ highly respected songwriting skills and unique combination of pop and classical influences have earned him a loyal following since he was launched into the spotlight with his 1990s alternative band, The Ben Folds Five.

He continues to release solo work, as well as collaborations with artists including “Weird Al” Yankovic and Regina Spektor. He also sat as an advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, D.C., from 2019-25, but stepped down after President Donald Trump’s administration took control of the Kennedy Center.

Tickets are available and range from $64.50 to $117.50. Learn more on the Center for the Arts website here.

Saturday

Meditation for beginners (11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)

Dr. Hansa Dinanath will lead an in-person session on mind and soul meditation at Northwest Regional Library. Her practice focuses on cultivating inner peace, rooted in her years of conflict resolution education.

Attendance is free, but seats are limited. Learn more on the library’s events page here.

Learn about the Sawgrass Nature Center, city history (noon to 1 p.m.)
