Monday, Dec. 15
AARP safe driving class (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
Residents ages 50 and older can register for this American Association of Retired Persons course to learn proven driving techniques for road safety. Completion of the course can get drivers a discount on their car insurance.

Gotta Dance! workshop for grades 3 to 5 (4:30 to 5:15 p.m.)

Women’s book club white elephant and watch party (6:30 to 8:30 p.m.)

Alzheimer’s caregiver support group (2 to 3:15 p.m.)
Join this group at the Northwest Regional Library for practical advice, conversation and support during your caregiving journey with the Alzheimer’s Association. The session is facilitated by a trained volunteer . Register to attend on the library events page.
Holiday party for ages 3 and up (5 to 6 p.m.)

Succulent ornament workshop (6:30 p.m.)
Bar Louie in Coconut Creek is set to host this hands-on workshop. Participants will go home with their very own living decoration, great for gifting or a fun night out. City Commission meeting (6:30 p.m.)
The Coral Springs City Commission meets twice a month to discuss issues that matter to residents and make key decisions on real estate development, local laws, govenrment spending and other issues.

Kreul Classic basketball tournament (times vary)
Since 1990, this high school basketball tournament has been a springboard for thousands of aspiring student athletes hailing from 27 states, the Bahamas and Canada. “Featuring elite South Florida squads, ESPN-ranked programs, and Power 4 commits, this high-profile exposure event brings together top teams from 13 states and stands as one of the most anticipated showcases of the hardwood season,” according to the event page.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $15. This tournament continues until Dec. 22, with games for both boys’ and girls’ teams. Learn more on the City of Coral Springs events page.
