Cedric the Entertainer, the award-winning producer, director, actor, comedian and author, is coming to the Coral Springs Center for the Arts on Sunday, Feb. 1.

From sitcoms and stand-up to film and philanthropy, Cedric the Entertainer has built a career few comedians can match.

He is best known for his wide-ranging résumé, which spans family favorites such as “The Steve Harvey Show” and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” as well as blockbuster franchises including the “Madagascar” animated films and the “Barbershop” trilogy.

His ability to move between television, film and live comedy has made him a mainstay of pop culture for more than two decades.

Currently, Cedric the Entertainer stars in and executive produces “The Neighborhood,” one of broadcast television’s most-watched comedies, now airing its eighth and final season.

Beyond entertainment, he is also deeply involved in philanthropy. Through the Kyles Family Foundation, he supports a range of organizations focused on health, education and literacy, including the United Negro College Fund.

He has also expanded into business with his wine brand, Setta, created in honor of his late mother. Some of the label’s proceeds support literacy initiatives, a cause she was passionate about.

Tickets for his Feb. 1 show are on sale on the Coral Springs Center for the Arts website.
