Temperatures are set to return to normal by the weekend, just in time for the latest installation of the Coral Springs Community Concert series.

Here’s what to know about the free show, food trucks and fun happening Saturday, Feb. 7, at City Hall:

State of the City address (5 to 5:30 p.m.)

Mayor Scott Brook will make his State of the City speech in the City Commission chambers, followed by remarks from members of the Commission. Past speeches have outlined achievements in aesthetics, public safety and quality of life.

Commissioners also take the opportunity to lay out their plans and priorities for the coming months.

Those who are unable to attend in person can livestream that portion of Saturday’s festivities on Coral Springs’ CityTV channel.

Live music on the City Hall lawn (5:30 to 9:30 p.m.)

A live DJ will open the evening’s entertainment at 5:30 p.m., followed by a performance from Coral Springs’ School of Rock at 6 p.m. After a welcome message from the City Commission at 6:30 p.m., Absolute Queen will take the stage from 6:45 to 9 p.m.

Additional activities include face painting, Valentine’s Day-themed arts and crafts, gratitude rock painting and outdoor games.

Food trucks will be on-site with dinner, drinks and desserts for all to enjoy. A finalized list of dining options has been confirmed by a city spokesperson:

Representatives from the Coral Springs MLK Committee will also be on site selling pretzels and snow cones to benefit its scholarship fund.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and towels or blankets to sit on and reusable water bottles for use at city filling stations. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed and curbed.

Free parking will be available in the City Hall garage.

The city also asks that those with disabilities requesting special accommodation call the special events number at 954-344-1111 or email events@coralsprings.gov.
