Family-friendly activities abound in Coral Springs this weekend as museums and playspaces host special activities and boast steep discounts to normal rates.
That includes sensory-friendly time at the Coral Springs Museum of Art, back-to-back pet appreciation events in surrounding cities and a unique model train opportunity.

During this hour, guests can enjoy the art museum during a low-traffic hour outside of its normal programming. Tamarac Furever Friends Pet Expo (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Head to Tamarac Recreation center (7501 N. University Drive) to learn about all things animal care. The day’s events include pet training demonstrations, a red carpet pet parade and adoptable dogs, cats and birds onsite. Plus, check out featured vendors and nonprofits for food, treats, information microchipping, spay and neuter services, vaccinations, mobile pet grooming and more.

Broward Tax Pro (VITA) is ready to help low- and moderate-income workers file their 2025 tax returns and claim all of the credits they deserve. Altitude Trampoline Park anniversary celebration (noon to 3 p.m.)

Lunar New Year bookmarks workshop (2 to 3 p.m.)
Head to the Northwest Regional Library and learn how to express your creativity through the Silhouette Cameo paper cutting machine. Participants will go home with their own Lunar New Year themed bookmark.

Social bike ride through Tradewinds Park (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Trail bikers are invited to this casual monthly 12- to 15-mile ride through Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek. Most of the ride is scenic with loops through parks and bike lanes are available where necessary, according to the event posting. Organizers recommend bringing water, a snack and sun protection.

Picnic with Pups (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Join the Everglades Angels dog rescue as organizers celebrate its 12th birtnday. It’s set to be a laid-back, family-friendly afternoon celebrating the anniversary, its supporters, and the incredible dogs that have passed through shelter care and found forever homes. Enjoy music, food and drink, raffles and activities — all supporting Evergaldes Angels’ mission.
