Coral Springs Museum of Art hosts family day to celebrate creativity, community
The Coral Springs Museum of Art is inviting families to celebrate Youth Art Month with an expanded version of its free monthly Museum Family Day on Saturday, March 14, from noon to 4 p.m.
The event typically begins with a guided tour of the latest art exhibitions followed by a variety of hands-on, kid-friendly activities.
This month, visitors can view “Empty Walls” fundraiser paintings, “Imitation of Life” by Dario Feal, “The Home Team” by Lauren Sopourn, and works from the Broward Superintendent’s Advanced Academics Studio Art Exhibition.
The afternoon’s planned activities include:
- Pottery
- Character design
- Zine making
- Music circle with Noam Brown
- Face painting
- Museum-wide scavenger hunt
- Story time, in partnership with Northwest Regional Library
There will be an additional table for toddlers, led by one of the museum’s teaching artists.
Visitors can also tour the museum’s art studios and learn more about upcoming educational offerings, including art classes and summer camp.
Let’s Chill will also be at the event with locally made ice cream for purchase.
Museum Family Day events are presented periodically as an extension of the monthly Museum’s ARTventures program, sponsored by Funding Arts Broward.
