Another Chick-fil-A serving the Coral Springs area has closed for remodeling, leaving fans having to drive even greater distances for their chicken fixes.

The Chick-fil-A on University Drive in Coral Springs shut down in September, and the company said the location is expected to re-open early next year.

“This remodel will include enhancements to the drive-thru, parking lot and dining room to improve efficiency and guest experience,” the company said in a statement to the Coral Springs News.

When that happened, the next closest location for Coral Springs residents became either the restaurant in Tamarac on Commerical Boulevard, or the one in Coconut Creek, which is on the east border with Coral Springs on State Road 7.

But now the Coconut Creek location has also closed for construction.

Patrons shouldn’t have to wait too long for the remodel, which includes a new drive-thru. The 441 location is projected to re-open by the end of the year, pending any delays, the company said.

The next closest CFA location is still Tamarac, otherwise chicken lovers have to head to Deerfield Beach to the Hillsboro and Powerline restaurant.
