Coral Springs is getting a new eatery — and it’s set to be one of the first independent restaurants to open with full kosher certification in the area.

According to state records, Le Cafe Aria is being spearheaded by Meirav R. Shtaeinweis, with help from her husband, Doron Shtaeinweis. Both have past experience as real estate brokers and in the automotive industry.

It’s slated to open at 1306 N. University Drive near the Coral Square Mall.

“There’s people around here that’s looking for more than just Starbucks,” Doron Shtaeinweis told the Coral Springs News Dec. 5. “There’s a huge demand.”

The owners are seeking clearance from the Orthodox Rabbinical Board of Broward and Palm Beach Counties (ORB), which provides kosher certification in South Florida.

According to the ORB’s website, only four Coral Springs businesses are currently certified:

  • Cinnabon Coral Springs (9469 W. Atlantic Blvd.)
  • Coral Springs Fooderie Market (5651 Coral Ridge Dr.)
  • The Chosen Bean (9500 NW 38th St.)
  • Valiant Catering (3925 N. University Dr.)

Recent posts on Instagram state that the cafe is hiring for all positions as of Dec. 1. Health inspection records also show that they passed their first evaluation with flying colors.
