How Ya Dough’n has announced its opening date for joining other restaurants in the Cornerstone development as its owners put the finishing touches on the city’s newest pizza shop.

The Coral Springs News got an early look inside — and a bite of the first pie out of the viral sourdough pizza sensation’s oven.

“Leaving Palm Beach County for Broward was a big jump for us,” Garrett Goodman, the chain’s co-owner and CEO, said on Monday, April 6.

“We really took the time to do the Parkland farmers’ markets and all of those things ahead of time. We were giving away free food just to get our name out there.”

The Coral Springs location is scheduled to open to the public at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24.

The restaurant will give away free 12-inch pies to the first 100 customers each day of opening weekend. Plus, kids can get a free meal with the purchase of an entree.

Opening-weekend hours, according to a spokesperson:

  • Friday and Saturday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It will be the fifth How Ya Dough’n restaurant (three in Palm Beach County, one in Las Vegas), with a sixth soon to come in West Boca Raton.

The Goodmans say they aren’t stopping there, though.

“The goal was to grow this into the largest pizza chain on the planet,” Garrett Goodman said. “That’s always been our goal.”
