Palm Springs police are looking for the SUV that struck and killed a man on Kirk Road in the early hours of June 20.

The crash took place minutes after midnight on the 4100 block of Kirk, just south of Lake Worth Road. Police had not identified the man as of June 22.

Traffic-camera footage captured a white-over-beige 2002-2007 Toyota Highlander striking the man at 12:08 a.m. as he walked in the roadway.

The SUV continued traveling westbound on Lake Worth Road after the crash, village police said in a prepared statement. Investigators expect it to have damage to the front passenger side.

It was not immediately clear if the man was in a crosswalk or how fast the SUV was traveling at the time of the wreck.

Police ask anyone with information about the crash to contact them at (561)584-8300.
