Atlantic Crossings shopping center at the intersection of University Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard has changed hands in a $40.5 million transaction, Broward property records show.

The plaza across the street from the Coral Square Mall is currently home to a Whole Foods, Home Depot and Crunch Fitness.

It’s the second major deal in a matter of months on that block. At the end of October, the Esplanade Medical Center, previously owned by Coral Gables-based Game Properties, sold the plaza on the other side of University Drive to The Esplanade AP, LLC for $26.5 million.

Atlantic Crossings ADP, out of Chicago, sold the property to the recently formed Atlantic Crossings Shopping Center LLC, organized under Marc Schwarzberg of Coral Gables-based Maven Real Estate Holdings.

The parties finalized the deal Nov. 25 for a price more than triple the most recently estimated value, records show. For 2026, the Broward County Property Appraiser assessed the land and building combined to be worth $14,103,240.

The new owners received a mortgage of $22,275,000 from BankUnited.
