Parks and playgrounds in Coral Springs could see new swings, jungle gyms and more in the coming year under a new contract up for vote by the City Commission.

City officials acquired the $300,000 contract through the School Board of Osceola County. It would mean new BCI Burke equipment, installation and repairs through Deltona-based Topline Recreation.

Procurement experts aimed to save money through a “piggyback agreement,” a cooperative purchasing strategy across government entities. That means the city of Coral Springs can access the same deal as Osceola County, without going through the full bidding process.

Burke playgrounds have already been installed at Bette Stradling, Mullins, Jaycee, Forest Hills, Whispering Oaks, Volunteer and Countrywood parks, boosting officials’ confidence in the product.

If approved, the agreement would begin on Jan. 21, 2026, and last through April 22, 2027.

Burke equipment is manufactured in the United States and incorporates recycled materials, according to city documents.

Its South Florida dealer, Topline Recreation, is based in Deltona.
