Tuesday
Northwest Regional Library Job Fair
Meet with local recruiters from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. The monthly event, sponsored by BrowardJobs.com, features opportunities in a variety of industries, including customer service, sales, construction and repairs, teaching and child care. Learn more and register here.
Hot Topics Discussion Group
Adults over 50 are invited to meet at the Northwest Regional Library’s first-floor Living Room for coffee, cookies and conversation from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Participants will read articles from the library’s magazine collection and discuss current issues. Learn more and register here.
Hispanic Heritage Month Paint and Craft
From 4-5 p.m., Broward county residents over the age of 5 can get creative with a guided art project at Northwest Regional Library. Online registration is required to ensure that there are enough supplies for everyone.
U.S. Citizenship and Naturalization Class
Practice the skills needed to become a naturalized U.S. citizen at this Northwest Regional Library event from 5-6:30 p.m. This includes reading, writing, speaking, comprehension and answering the 100 history and government questions. Registration is required. Click here to learn more.
English Cafe for All Levels
Anyone interested in practicing English reading or conversation is invited to the Northwest Regional Library’s open event from 5-6 p.m. Learn more at this link.
Succulent Workshop at BJ’s Brewhouse
South Florida-based Succulent Life brings their interactive workshop to Coral Springs from 6-7:30 p.m. With a $45 ticket purchase, participants will receive a complimentary glass of wine or beer and five succulents, as well as soil, decorations and instructions on planting and caring for each species. Redefining Our Schools Public Meeting
Officials from Broward County Public Schools are considering plans to close, merge or repurpose several middle schools, including:
- Coral Springs Middle School
- Forest Glen Middle School
- Margate Middle School
- Ramblewood Middle School
- Sawgrass Springs Middle School
The meeting will be held at Coral Springs High School from 6-8 p.m. Parents, students and residents are encouraged to share feedback on the district’s plans, with American Sign Language, Spanish, Haitian Creole and Portuguese translation services available. Bags and purses will not be permitted.

Wednesday
U.S. Citizenship and Naturalization Class

Open Play Chess
Chess lovers of all skill levels are invited to play and learn from a qualified National Scholastic of Chess Foundation coach at the Coral Springs Gymnasium from 6-8 p.m. Learn more here.
Thursday
Fun Days Off
Coral Springs students between first and sixth grade are invited to the Coral Springs Gymnasium to spend their day doing activities ranging from arts and crafts to sports. Registration is required, and participating children must arrive with sneakers, a packed lunch, snack and water bottle.
Bingo
From 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., the Northwest Regional Library will host a bingo game for adults. Sign up for the chance to win free books and meet new friends here.
English Cafe (Beginner and Intermediate)
Residents who want to improve their English are encouraged to attend this Northwest Regional Library event. From 4-5:30 p.m., instructors will guide students through conversation, vocabulary, pronunciation and games. Register on the library’s website with this link.
Later in the evening, from 5-5:45 p.m., conversational speakers are invited to practice speaking and reading at the same location. Registration on the library’s website is required.
Opening Reception for Entre Dos Mundos: Hispanic Heritage Exhibition
Celebrate the Coral Springs Museum of Art’s new exhibition from 5-7:00 p.m. at this free event. The installation features South Florida-based artists who examine the Hispanic diaspora and immigration through their work, exploring “themes of displacement, adaptation and continuity,” and how these experiences can create new forms of cultural expression.
