Iron Maiden drummer to host meet and greet at Coral Springs restaurant
Rock N Roll Ribs in Coral Springs is packed to the gills with Iron Maiden memorabilia — and soon, it will be full of fans, too.
On Tuesday, Oct. 28, fans of the band can visit from 6 to 9 p.m. for a meet and greet with Nicko McBrain — the restaurant’s co-founder best known as the drummer for Iron Maiden.
The event comes shortly after he teased the possibility of returning to the band for a future album — though he clarified that there aren’t plans to make one as of yet.
After recovering from a stroke, McBrain retired from touring last year — ending an over four-decade run with the iconic heavy metal group.
But, at 73, he’s still keeping busy. In addition to co-owning Rock N Roll Ribs, he also runs a drum equipment shop in Manchester, England, and plays drums with Titanium Tart, a Florida-based Iron Maiden cover band.
He takes pride in the fact that Rock N Roll Ribs isn’t just a home for fans — it won awards in its first year for its perfectly cooked ribs and continues to be beloved by locals who praise its generous portions and Southern barbecue flavors.
The restaurant is nearing its 16th year serving Coral Springs and plans to celebrate its birthday on Dec. 6 with a party featuring live music and meal specials .
