Time is running out to register for the community camping event at the Sportsplex Athletic Field in Coral Springs this weekend.

Residents are invited to the 24-hour Campout Coral Springs 2026, running from 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, to 11 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25.

Registration closes at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 21, and there aren’t many spots remaining, according to the Parks and Recreation Department.

For $100, you get a 20 foot-by-20 foot campsite at the field, dinner on Saturday and breakfast the next morning. You have to bring your own supplies for roughing it, including a tent, chairs, bedding, snacks and whatever else you may need.

Organizers are hosting s’mores making, a movie on a big screen and kickball, all of which are included in the admission fee. The sportsplex also has a playground, basketball courts and volleyball courts.

Campers can make s’mores at campfires supervised by the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department.

Up to six campers can sleep at each site, and all spots need one adult camper.

Last year’s event included foot races in inflatable costumes, scaly visitors from the Sawgrass Nature Center and craft kits to make wooden cars and boats. Paragon Theaters is sponsoring the festivities.

The weather forecast looks clear for this weekend, with a low temperature of 70 and a high temperature of 82 on Saturday, accompanied by mostly sunny skies.
