The scene of a two-car crash on University Drive and Riverside Drive has been cleared by Coral Springs first responders.

The collision slowed traffic to a crawl as Coral Springs police and fire rescue worked to provide aid and clear the area Tuesday afternoon.

At least three fire trucks and several police cars responded to the crash. The response partially blocked both southbound traffic on University Drive and traffic in both directions on Riverside Drive the afternoon of Feb. 3, as the road was littered with pieces of glass and plastic from the involved vehicles.

An SUV that had a large dent on its rear driver side door was still in the intersection just before 2 p.m. Another vehicle, which was missing most of its front bumper and panels, was also stopped further south on University Drive.

It’s unclear whether any occupants were injured, or who had the right of way prior to the collision. The Coral Springs Police Department was unable to release information before publication of this article.
