A man is accused of harassing and intimidating his neighbor because he was upset that she bought a camera that faced his door, according to Coral Springs police.

Spencer William Young, 28, is charged with misdemeanor stalking and felony criminal mischief over $1,000, Broward court records show. His attorney information was not available Feb. 26.

Young’s neighbor called police Feb. 22 to report that Young had been harassing her for weeks, and she asked police to speak to him about it, according to his arrest affidavit.

The woman reported Young had been spitting on her door and Ring camera, making obscene gestures at her camera, pointing at her camera and saying, “This lady is really nasty,” and performing a Hitler salute, police said.

She also accused him of damaging her car and side mirror. The woman said she was so afraid of Young after the Feb. 22 incident that she and her child went to stay at a friend’s home in Boca Raton.

When Coral Springs police asked Young about the incidents, he said he threw up on her door mat and may have accidentally damaged her car, saying the latter was an accident when he opened his door. The woman found damage to her car spoiler and mirror on two separate dates.

Investigators asked Young why he didn’t tell his neighbor about hitting her car, but he got upset and ended the interview, according to the affidavit.

Both told police they didn’t know each other personally, but Young told investigators he flipped off the Ring camera and spat on it “because he did not like that she got a camera that faced his door.”

Police said they determined Young had intentionally damaged her car, which would cost about $2,500 to repair, the woman’s mechanic reportedly told her.

Young was booked in Broward jail Feb. 22 and bonded out three days later, records show.
