Do you know a Coral Springs resident, worker or student bringing the community together and changing things for the better? The city’s Martin Luther King Committee is seeking help in finding its next Monument Award recipient.

“There are many residents quietly making a meaningful difference every day, living out Dr. King’s vision of service, unity, and equality,” City Commissioner and MLK Committee liason Joshua Simmons said in a news release on Thursday, March 12.

“The MLK Monument Award allows us to shine a light on their impact and celebrate those who are helping move our community forward.”

Applications are open through Friday, April 10.

Nominees must live, work or attend school in Coral Springs. Individuals may nominate themselves or be nominated by others.

Submissions should include a completed entry form and a description of the nominee’s impact on the community.

Learn more at CoralSprings.gov/MLKMonument or by contacting Johana O’Neill at joneill@coralsprings.gov or 954-344-1190.
