13-year-old girl on e-bike airlifted after crash at Shell gas station, cops say

A crash between a vehicle and an e-bike at a gas station ended in the 13-year-old rider being airlifted to a hospital, according to Coral Springs police.

The crash happened Tuesday, March 24, at around 4:30 p.m. at the Shell station at the intersection of Coral Ridge Drive and Holmberg Road.

The girl was riding an electric bike when the collision occurred, and she sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Fire rescue took the teen to the field by Parkridge Church down the road, where she was transferred to a helicopter and flown to Broward General.

The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators, and there have been no charges filed as of March 25.
