26-year-old pool service tech drowns in swimming pool in Coral Springs, cops say

A 26-year-old pool service technician drowned in a swimming pool in Coral Springs, according to police.

Officers responded to a house in the 8300 block of NW 35th Court on Monday, March 30, after getting a call about an unresponsive person in a pool.

They identified the victim as Josemanuel Pena and pronounced him dead at the scene. Police said Pena didn’t live at the home, which is in a neighborhood near Sample Road and Riverside Drive.

Investigators don’t suspect foul play.
