Nancy Metayer Bowen vigil happening Tuesday night in Tamarac. Here are details

Coral Springs is not the only city mourning the sudden loss of vice mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen, who was allegedly murdered by her husband, Stephen Bowen, on April 1.

Tamarac, where Metayer once worked, has announced its own vigil for those grieving her loss.

Metayer spent eight months as a community engagement liason for Tamarac and left a lasting impression on staff and residents, according to a city statement.

The vigil will take place from 7 to 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, at Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Ave., during the regularly scheduled City Commission meeting.
