Free goat yoga, plant giveaways and more at Coral Springs Earthfest April 25
Earthfest returns to Coral Springs this Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hospital.
Thirty-minute goat yoga sessions are the event’s newest addition, with three classes available over the course of the morning. Those interested in participating are asked to bring their own mats and sign up for either the 9:30, 10:30 or 11:30 a.m. session at Downward Goat’s booth during the event.
One of the celebration’s most popular attractions last year, the residents-only plant giveaway, returns this year. This year’s list of available items includes:
- Fruit trees: avocado, mango, papaya, citrus, banana
- Native shade trees: green buttonwood, silver buttonwood, gumbo limbo
- Bushes and shrubs: beautyberry, firebush, wild coffee
- Florals: blue porterweed, jatropha
Those looking to take a new piece of greenery home must bring their ID and obtain a ticket at the event entrance to pick up their plant. One item is permitted per household on a first-come, first-served basis.
Attendees can learn more about environmental activities in the area, including the local community garden, or get hands-on with nature exhibits. The event will also feature local vendors and raffles, including one for a rain barrel.
