A housekeeper is facing charges in Coral Springs after multiple clients in South Florida reported she had stolen valuables including a Rolex, a gold bracelet and a family heirloom necklace, records show.

Rosa Maria Osorio Garcia, 48, is charged with grand theft from a dwelling in Coral Springs and faces additional charges in Davie, including grand theft over $20,000, grand theft over $5,000, dealing in stolen property and false verification of ownership of a pawned item.

Her June 1 arrest isn’t the first time she’s faced prosecution for allegedly stealing from clients. She also had an arrest warrant stemming from similar accusations in 2021 that she stole and pawned wedding rings and a Rolex.

The Coral Springs investigation began when a woman who hired Osorio Garcia learned from a friend that their shared house cleaner had been arrested on theft charges in Davie, according to a probable cause affidavit filed June 17.

The Coral Springs woman went through her jewelry and didn’t notice anything missing, but when she asked her son, he said he was missing his late father’s 14-karat gold Star of David pendant and chain, police wrote.

The woman gave police photos of the necklace, and a Davie detective confirmed it had been pawned in West Palm Beach on May 17, three days after Osorio Garcia was last at her home.

Around the same time, two other victims reported to Davie police that jewelry had disappeared from their homes. One woman said her Rolex had gone missing, and another woman said she noticed several pieces of jewelry were gone, with the most expensive item being an 18-karat gold bracelet.

Davie investigators said they learned the watch and bracelet had both been pawned. Police noted Osorio Garcia had “been pawning a significant amount of jewelry since 2015,” and that in the first half of 2026, she had completed four pawn shop transactions.

Police arrested Osorio Garcia on June 1, at which point she told investigators she had stolen the bracelet and Rolex, giving the watch to her boyfriend to pawn while selling the bracelet herself for $4,500, according to an arrest report.

While Osorio Garcia remained in jail, the Coral Springs investigation got underway, and a detective visited her to ask about the allegations that she stole her client’s son’s Star of David necklace.

Osorio Garcia reportedly became “emotional,” police wrote, and said her lawyer advised her not to speak to anyone. She remains in jail as of June 24 on an immigration detainer, records show.
