The weekend following Thanksgiving is set to be a slower one in Coral Springs — but, that doesn’t mean there aren’t things to do.

Get out of the house and head to a Panthers game, comedy show, or join one of the many groups getting active outdoors in the area. Or, get crafty at one of the many arts events northwest Broward has to offer.

Saturday, Nov. 29

Slime Time at Art Paper Scissors (noon to 1 p.m.)

Kids ages 5 and older are invited to an afternoon of making and playing with slime at Art Paper Scissors in Parkland Learn more on Facebook or the Art Paper Scissors website.

Free crafting at Crafted Art Club (1 to 6 p.m.)

Take a break from holiday shopping on Small Business Saturday to create with Crafted Art Club in Coconut Creek. The studio will be open and visitors are encouraged to bring their own projects, buy a kit or use the free supplies provided. Drinks and snacks from Tarazzu Coffee will also be available for purchase.

Tamarac Farmer’s Market (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

Shop organic local produce and home goods at this weekly market just across the Coral Springs border. Whether you’re looking for the perfect gift for someone in your life or grabbing groceries for yourself, the event’s wide variety of vendors makes fun for everyone that much easier.

Painting with Santa (10 to 11 a.m.)

Kids and parents are invited to create festive artwork and take photos with Santa at the studio. Tickets cost $55. More information is available on Facebook or the Art Paper Scissors website.

Dave Unplugged at Dear Olivia Bar and Kitchen (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
