Despite a slow start to the week, Coral Springs has much to offer residents and visitors eager to get active and try something new.

Try your hand at a new craft — including teamaking at Eagles’ Haven — or make new friends while working on a passion project at the Coral Springs Museum of Art’s monthly Craft Corner event.

The same is true for recreational sports, from pickleball at the Tennis Center of Coral Springs or pickup women’s soccer games at Tradewinds Park.

Plus, new entertainers will debut at bars and restaurants, including Sharkey’s Bar and Grill and Nectar at Coconut Creek Casino.

Make your own loose leaf tea (4:15 to 5:15 p.m.)

The J.P. Taravella High School Drama Club won an award for its latest play and is set to perform at the Florida Thespian Festival — but the group needs funding to get to the state competition.
