Creative opportunities continue this weekend in Coral Springs with workshops, puzzles and other projects to keep the family entertained.

Plus, catch opportunities to see live music at bars and entertainment centers — and an R&B-centered day party, too.

Here’s what’s happening from Friday, May 15, through Sunday, May 17, in and around Coral Springs:

Friday

Art therapy for veterans (10 to 11:30 a.m.)

These small-group sessions are tailored to offer service members a space for connection through art. This is a free workshop — no experience or supplies required. Learn more on the Coral Springs Museum of Art website.

Riddles day (3 to 3:30 p.m.)

Teens can enjoy an afternoon of solving word puzzles and win prizes with this program, sponsored by the Stephanie Rubin Foundation. Learn more on the library events page.

Art therapy for teens (3:30 to 5 p.m.)

For $5, young Coral Springs residents can access safe and non-judgmental space to create, express themselves and grow through art. Learn more on the Coral Springs Museum of Art website.

King of Coral Springs chess competition (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

Aspiring chess players can participate in this free National Scholastic Chess Foundation-backed tournament at Kiwanis Park Community Center. Two age groups will be available for play: elementary school (ages 5-11) and middle and high school (ages 12-18). Lunch will be provided, but players must register in advance. Project Leadership 52 Literacy Summit (10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

Middle and high school students can head to the Northwest Regional Library to learn money skills, get ACT and SAT preparation, and more to help them study smarter and succeed. Learn more on the library events page.

R&B Unplugged day party (3 to 8 p.m.)

Rhythm & Soul Restaurant and Lounge will host this event featuring live DJs and drink specials, with free tickets for guests who register in advance. Learn more on Facebook.
