Though no Coral Springs eateries secured a perfect mark, three were nearly perfect, with just one violation in each first-round inspection during the last week of September.

Cherry Smash Ice Cream Parlour (8000 Wiles Road)

The old-fashioned ice cream parlor and associated ice cream truck have become a local favorite for their eclectic, maximalist style and variety of candies, shakes and scoops, plus savory treats such as soft pretzels.

The restaurant is particularly decked out this October for Halloween, featuring extra spooky décor.

Founded 11 years ago by Sal and Sheila Bellassai, Cherry Smash has also been praised for its ability to meet a variety of dietary needs, including vegan and gluten-free options.

The ice cream truck’s sole violation during a routine inspection on Sept. 30 was for accumulated candy debris on the floor.

Dank Frank’s Hot Dogs and Catering (9837 W. Sample Road)

Originally based in Brooklyn, New York, this low-key hot dog cart with a smiling mascot travels throughout Broward County, serving up “authentic Manhattan dirty-water style hot dogs” since 2017.

Its sole violation during a Sept. 29 inspection was for lacking a food thermometer to confirm its products had been cooked to the proper temperature.

Eurest (3975 NW 120th Ave.)

Eurest, a subsidiary of Compass Group, provides corporate offices with cafeteria services.

This location appears to be inside an office building that houses Fiserv (formerly First Data Corp.), best recognized for its product Clover, a widely used credit and debit card processing system.

Its sole violation was accumulation of a black or green mold-like substance inside of a back-room ice bin, which was cleaned during the inspection
