Coral Springs bagel shop shuts down. Owners share why they made decision to close
Family Bagels of Long Island on Coral Ridge Drive has closed, abruptly ending the company’s time in South Florida.
Owners confirmed the Coral Springs eatery would close in a Dec. 31 Facebook post, expressing gratitude for the love customers had shown them over the years.
The post cited the time- and energy-intensive work that goes into running a restaurant and a desire to spend more quality time with family as the reasons for the closure.
The eatery, operated by Parkland resident Steve Corn, featured freshly made bagels, sandwiches and coffee and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Family Bagels of Long Island closed its other South Florida location in February 2021. Its original shop in Plainview, New York, will remain open.
