Mr. Beefy’s Subs and More, has permanently closed its Coral Springs location.

In a fast-casual restaurant scene that has long prioritized New York-style fare, Mr. Beefy’s stood out with its focus on the flavors of two other cities: Chicago, and later, New Orleans.

Under ownership by Rob Elbaum and then Tricia Lovett, the eatery specialized in loaded hot dogs, sandwiches and wraps. Mr. Beefy’s final owner, Monica Pierre, added seafood boils and fish dishes with her family’s signature garlic butter.

But, after several years with the business, Pierre has moved to Port Charlotte, a three-hour drive from Coral Springs, according to reports from TapInto Coral Springs and National Today.

The Coral Springs News was unable to reach Pierre for comment on Monday, March 9. A new tenant for the space at 8040 Wiles Road has not been announced.
