Coral Springs Junior Cats launch campaign for pets in need. How you can help
Continuing a yearslong tradition of raising money and gathering supplies for local causes, the Coral Springs Junior Cats hockey organization has announced that it will gather supplies for a local animal rescue.
UFAR Animals Rescue in Margate is a nonprofit, no-kill rescue shelter. According to its website, UFAR is sheltering over 300 cats and dogs across its facilities and foster programs as of Jan. 28.
The Junior Cats, who compete in the nation’s largest amateur ice hockey league for pre-college players, have previously backed drives benefitng Feeding South Florida and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
As part of their Paws for a Cause campaign, the Junior Cats will collect items during home games at the Florida Panthers’ IceDen in Coral Springs on Friday, Feb. 6, and Sunday, Feb. 8.
Donors can also send items directly to the team via their Amazon wishlist.
