Coral Springs’ night owls have a new destination for fast comfort food — a brand that has grown out of South Florida’s food truck scene and the region’s ties to Central and South America.

Trino Restaurant’s newest brick-and-mortar establishment, located at the former Italo Peru storefront on West Sample Road, is now serving up Venezuelan-style loaded burgers, hot dogs and French fries, as well as Latin American classics such as arepas, cachapas and tequeños.

Reviewers describe a bright, playful atmosphere, highlighting the maximalist dishes and a wide variety of house-made sauces.

The Coral Springs establishment, located at 7891 W. Sample Road, serves customers mainly in the evenings, according to the company’s Instagram account. Weekends are an exception:

  • Monday-Thursday: 5 p.m. to midnight
  • Friday: 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Saturday-Sunday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Trino’s star dish, a Venezuelan smashburger, includes ham, eggs, Muenster cheese, potato chips, lettuce, tomato, onion and a choice of beef, chicken or pork.

In addition to in-person options, customers can also use Trino’s mobile ordering website for pickup and delivery.
