Check your numbers: A lottery ticket worth $4 million was sold at a liquor store in Broward County. Is it yours?

One lucky Mega Millions player narrowly missed the $496 million jackpot in the drawing on Friday, March 6, but they still made out with a $4 million second-tier prize, the highest amount won in the country that night.

The ticket was sold at Liquor and Wine Merchant, located at 8369 W. Sunrise Blvd. in Plantation, according to Florida Lottery records.

The winning numbers were 8-19-26-38-42, with a Mega Ball of 24. The lucky player beat the 1-in-12,629,232 odds of matching all five white balls, but they missed the gold Mega Ball, according to the Mega Millions website.

The player bought a $5 Quick Pick ticket, meaning a computer terminal randomly generated their numbers. They were also assigned a 4X multiplier, turning what would have been a $1 million win into the bigger $4 million prize.

Players are advised to sign their tickets as soon as they purchase them, and they have 180 days to claim a Mega Millions prize.

In addition to the $4 million Broward winner, a player in Arizona won a $2 million prize.

The Mega Millions jackpot is estimated to be $533 million for the next drawing, which will take place Tuesday, March 10, at 11 p.m.
