Another day, another big lottery win in Broward as lucky streak continues

A lottery player in Broward has a lot to celebrate after splitting a Fantasy 5 jackpot prize.

The winner bought their Fantasy 5 ticket for the Monday, March 16, evening drawing at the Exprezo gas station at 12607 W. Sunrise Blvd. in Sunrise, according to Florida Lottery records.

The winning numbers were 9-10-14-27-34, and the lucky ticket, purchased with the quick pick option, was worth $56,519.97. The Sunrise winner will split the jackpot with a player who bought a quick pick ticket at a Publix in Homestead.

The winners beat the 1-in-376,992 odds of matching all five numbers.

Moreover, it was the second Fantasy 5 ticket bought in Sunrise to win a big prize in five days and the seventh purchased in Broward County to hit a jackpot in less than three weeks.

The others:

  • A $120,000 winner on March 12 with a ticket bought at a Publix in Sunrise
  • A $117,000 winner on March 9 with a ticket bought at a Publix in Fort Lauderdale
  • A $50,000 winner on March 3 with a ticket bought at the Ideal Food Basket supermarket in Fort Lauderdale
  • A $50,000 winner on March 2 with a ticket bought at the Supermercados El Bodegon in Margate
  • A $109,000 winner on March 1 with a ticket bought at the Walmart liquor store in Lauderdale Lakes
  • A $131,000 winner on Feb. 28 with a ticket bought at the Publix in Oakland Park

There were two winners in the March 16 Fantasy 5 midday drawing, each taking home $50,000. The tickets were sold at a Publix in Jacksonville and a Walmart in Middleburg, a suburb of Jacksonville. The winning numbers were 13-14-24-27-34.
