The long-awaited Kiwanis Park Community Center will officially open on Saturday, April 25, according to an email from the Coral Springs City Commission.

The community center, located at 520 Ramblewood Drive and championed as an intergenerational hub, was originally slated for completion in November. Like Pride Promoters Park, though, it faced delays.

According the project’s webpage, the new space will feature:

  • A remodeled lounge area with seating and TVs
  • A renovated kitchen for cooking classes, meals
  • A new wood-floor indoor gym for pickleball and basketball, and an outdoor KOMPAN multi-use sports court
  • Added outdoor patio, large meeting room and front desk
  • Updated WiFi and security

Improvements cost an estimated $3.4 million, the website states. This includes $1,134,760 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.

Completed portions of the project include an upgraded playground, larger pavilion and improvements to Fire Station 64.
