Coral Springs expands Venezuela earthquake relief. Here’s where you can donate
Coral Springs continues to gather aid for those impacted by last week’s earthquakes in Venezuela.
The twin quakes caused building collapses that killed at least 1,450 people as of Monday, June 29, although experts say that is likely a “dramatic” undercount as tens of thousands remain missing.
Nearly 13,000 Venezuelans along the nation’s northern coast have been rendered homeless. Without adequate resources, families must dig through the rubble of their own homes to attempt to rescue victims and retrieve loved ones’ remains.
Humanitarian aid organizations across South Florida mobilized immediately after the quakes, with efforts from the Global Empowerment Mission and AFE Comunidad bolstered by grassroots donation drives across the region.

Trino Restaurant, Tijuana Taxi Co. and The Little Coffee Shoppe joined the list this week as more businesses open their doors for donors.
Requested items include:
