A Coral Springs woman was arrested following a 10-month investigation into alleged theft from her former employer.

Lisa Stanford, a 49-year-old paralegal, now faces two felony charges in the case, according to the Coconut Creek Police Department.

Last summer, the owner of South Florida-based ATD Mediation and Arbitration reported a series of fraudulent Zelle transactions out of the company’s bank account, Coral Springs police say.

Over two days, approximately $1,500 was transferred to an account under the name “Lisa Buonocore,” Stanford’s maiden name, cops said.

The business owner told police they suspected Stanford, a former employee, had accessed a business computer outside of office hours to complete the transactions.

Investigators said security footage shows Stanford and an unidentified man entering the building using an ATD key fob around the same times that the Zelle transfers occurred.

The results of a warrant for bank records, which were reviewed in the spring, raised the figure to $3,100 between July and August 2025, according to court documents.

Stanford was arrested by Coconut Creek police on June 26, but is out on bond. She is charged with third-degree grand theft criminal use of personally identifying information.
