Women’s golf clinic (4 to 5 p.m.)
New to golf and don’t know where to start? Women On the Course is offering skills classes at Colony West Golf Club in Tamarac. Members pay $35 per session and non-members pay $35 plus a first-time $10 fee. Learn more and register on the organization’s website.

Chamber of Commerce breakfast (7:30 a.m.)

Intro to Canva (1 to 2 p.m.)
Discover your inner designer with a free, online workshop on how to use one of the fastest-growing graphic design platforms in the world. Register to attend on the Broward County library events page.
3D printing for beginners (3 to 4 p.m.)

Scholarship essay writing workshop (4:30 to 5:30 p.m.)
Students from Coral Springs and throughout Broward County can join this free, online session to fine-tune college scholarship essays. This event is held online in partnership with The Scholarship Plug. Learn more on the library events page.
Shut Up and Write (7 to 8:30 p.m.)
The local writers meetup returns after the holiday break this week. Join for focused sessions and discussion — no sharing required. Learn more on Meetup.
Flynn’s Pokemon League (6:30 to 10 p.m.)
For a $10 entry fee, Pokemon enthusiasts can join the bar and arcade’s monthly Gym Leader Challenge. All attendees will receive series 8 prize packs for participation. Learn more on Facebook.
Wednesday
Library film club (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Adults ages 50 and older are invited to the Northwest Regional Library for a free documentary film screening and discussion. This month’s featured movie is “Wings of Hope: Julianes Sturz in den Dschungel.” In it, Werner Herzog returns to the Amazon jungle with Juliane Koepcke. The two recreate Koepcke’s survival story, in which she falls from a plane and spends 12 days in the wild before being found. Learn more on the library events page.
Introduction to computer skills (1 to 2:30 p.m.)
Want to improve your tech knowledge? This beginner-friendly class will help you learn computer basics, without any confusing jargon. Learn more on the library events page.
Gotta Dance! For grades 3 through 5 (4:30 to 5:15 p.m.)
Register for this eight-week course with teaching artist Nia Bourne and introduce children to the world of dance. Students will get moving and learn basic steps, stage directions, and theater terminology, all while in a welcoming environment. Learn more on the library events page.
The Lunatics at Sharkey’s (7 to 10 p.m.)
Classic rock revival band The Lunatics will play top 40’s tunes for bargoers, including a range of hits by Aretha Franklin, The Black Crowes, Paramore, Rush and more. Learn more on Facebook.
Country night at Nectar Lounge (7 to 11 p.m.)

Thursday
Juice Box Jam (10 a.m. to noon)
Toddlers and their caregivers can enjoy play, socialization, and music in a safe and engaging open play area designed for kids ages 1 to 4. Preschool storytime and craft (10:30 to 11 a.m.)
The South Florida Chamber Ensemble’s literacy program will open its new year at the Northwest Regional Library with a combination of song, dance, and a story with children ages 3 to 5. MLK Day craft (3:30 to 5 p.m.)
