Find things to do with kids and ways to give back on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and learn new things throughout the week.

Live local entertainment continues, too, with nights full of music and theater fun for all ages.

Here’s what’s happening in and around Coral Springs from Monday, Jan. 19, through Thursday, Jan. 22:

Monday

Pickleball fundraiser (8 to 11 a.m.)

Join fellow parents at The Next Chapter Foundation’s inaugural pickleball clinic and free play fundraiser to improve your game and donate to support single parents whose children are undergoing cancer treatments. Tickets are not required — organizers encourage attendees to pay what they can. They’re also looking for volunteers to assist with childcare. Learn more on Facebook.

MLK Tribute celebration in Parkland (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.)

Tuesday

Nature, Art and Service as Medicine author talk (2 to 3 p.m.)

Julia Hotz, a journalist and the author of “The Connection Cure,” will be featured on this week’s installment of the virtual Broward County Libraries speaker series. Hotz uses her book to explore how meaningful activities and interactions can help those facing some of the world’s most common mental and emotional struggles — and how readers can try it in their own lives. Registration is required. Learn more and sign up on the library events page.

Wednesday

Get free language resources through the library (1 to 2:30 p.m.)

This guided session will explain how to sign up and use the service on your phone, computer, or other mobile device. Learn more on the library events page.

Craft corner at Coral Springs Museum of Art (6 to 8 p.m.)
