Whether you’re looking for family-friendly activities or a night out on the town, there’s something for everyone on our list of weekend activities in and around Coral Springs.

The annual Blarney Bash is back Friday with St. Patrick’s Day food, drinks live entertianment and games.

Yearly traditions continue Saturday morning with the 49th annual Broward County waterway cleanup, which brings communities together to remove over 20 tons of garbage from the environment.

Plus, catch live bands, arts workshops and fitness opportunities all weekend long.

Here’s what’s happening from Friday, March 6, through Sunday, March 8:

Friday

Life skills for high school students (3:30 to 5:30 p.m.)

Teens are invited to this seminar on financial literacy and other skills necessary to the adult world. Learn more on the Northwest Regional Library’s events page.

Blarney Bash (5:30 to 9:30 p.m.)

Residents and visitors can head to City Hall for a lively celebration filled with festive contests, music and live entertainment by the Byrne Brothers and Drake Irish Dance. Automotive industry networking event at Tulum Prime (8 p.m.)

Car enthusiasts and business owners are invited to enjoy food, drinks, a live DJ, raffle, giveaways and more at the tequila lounge and Mexican restaurant, hosted by the F.A.S.T. Alliance. Learn more on Facebook.

Friday-Sunday

St. Andrew’s Carnival

From Friday-Sunday head to 9950 NW 29th St. in Coral Springs for rides, games, food, face painting, raffles and bingo, plus talent and car shows. Learn more on Facebook.

Saturday

Silent walk for peace (8 to 9 a.m.)

Every first Saturday of the month, this group comes together at the International Peace Garden, next to the Coral Springs Center for the Arts. They walk in silence for 20 minutes with the goal of cultivating inner stillness that members can use to go out and make the world a better place. Learn more on Meetup.

Waterway cleanup (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.)

The county’s “largest and longest-running environmental event,” is coming back to Coral Springs, sending clusters of volunteers along the Stranahan River to collect garbage and debris from its banks. Read our full story on the event to learn more.

Shred-A-Thon (9 to 11 a.m.)

Coral Springs police, in partnership with Shred Monkeys, will host a free, residents-only morning of document shredding event at the Sportsplex. Learn more on the City of Coral Springs website or Facebook.

Meditative scrapbooking at Eagles’ Haven (2:30 to 3:30 p.m.)

Capture special memories in this guided, hands-on session, encouraging self-expression, reflection and mindfulness. Learn more on the Eagles’ Haven website.

Paint and Sip at Coral Springs Museum of Art (5 to 7 p.m.)

Delve into Vincent Van Gogh’s universally recognizable style and learn what makes his mark-making and color palette so alluring with guided instruction at the art museum. This month’s session will center Van Gogh’s “Green Wheat Fields,” depicting a pristine country landscape where the artist spent the last months of his life.
