Fireworks, food trucks and live music: Coral Springs’ July 4 celebration details

An annual tradition continues this Independence Day in Coral Springs as the city invites residents and visitors to celebrate together at Mullins Park.

From 4 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, enjoy live bands, nearly two dozen food trucks, games, fireworks and more.

Here’s what to know:

What activities will be on offer?

Activities and contests will take place throughout the afternoon and evening, though some start and end times are not specified on the city’s website as of June 10.

  • 4 p.m. — Event begins; The Introverts performance
  • 5:15 p.m. — Should Have Been a Cowboy performance
  • 6:40 p.m. — First Absolute Bon Jovi performance
  • 8 p.m. — Second Absolute Bon Jovi performance
  • 8:30 p.m. — Inflatables powered off
  • 8:45 p.m. — Fireworks

An open-play soccer field will also be available.

Coral Springs residents can sign up for express lane access for inflatables and other activities at the Fun Zone check-in tent. Parents must bring identification showing a valid Coral Springs address.

Families are encouraged to pick up a child safety wristband at any city tent upon arrival. Each wristband will have a parent’s phone number on it to assist emergency personnel and city staff if a child becomes separated, according to the event announcement.

What food options will be available?

According to the city’s official announcement, 23 food trucks and booths will be available throughout Mullins Park, including:

Alcoholic beverages will be sold in select areas.

The city has provided an interactive map with details on bathroom, dining, vendor and entertainment options.

The event schedule and location are subject to change and weather permitting. You can text 888-777 with the keyword CSFIREWORKS to get updates.

Guests may bring coolers, chairs, picnic blankets and beach towels. Outside alcoholic beverages and pets are not permitted.

Parking will be available at The Center for the Arts and at the Coral Springs Gymnasium. Those in the Mullins Park area are advised to avoid Coral Springs Drive, which will shut down at 6 p.m.
