Here’s what’s happening from Monday, June 15, through Thursday, June 18, in and around Coral Springs:

Monday

Uncover the history of Hawaii with Hiiaka (10:30 to 11:15 a.m.)

Children ages 3 and up and their caregivers are invited to make and play Hawaiian musical instruments, dance the hula and listen to a story about two sisters from Hawaii who save a young boy’s life. Learn more on the Northwest Regional Library events page.

Reach Out and Read (4 to 5 p.m.)

Kids going into first through third grade work with a reading mentor to gain a love of reading and build confidence in their literacy skills with this ongoing summer reading program. Registration is required for each participant. Learn more on the Northwest Regional Library events page.

Learn ballet at the library (10:30 to 11:30 a.m.)

Children ages 3 to 6 can participate in this free class, exploring the basics of ballet through rhythm and musicality, simple counting, coordination, balance and flexibility. Registration is required. Register on the Northwest Regional Library events page.

Memory photo frame workshop (11 a.m. to noon)

Preserve and recall precious memories with photos, wooden cutouts and stickers. Learn more on the library events page.

Coral Springs City Commission meeting (6:30 to 8:30 p.m.)
