Coral Springs is set to ramp up its celebrations ahead of Independence Day, adding plenty of movement to slow summer days.

Music events take center stage this week, from live local acts to an evening celebrating the upcoming marriage of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Plus, caregivers and young children can celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday by learning new dances from around the world.

Here’s what’s happening from Monday, June 29, through Thursday, July 2, in and around Coral Springs:

Monday

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday (10:30 to 11:15 a.m.)

Kids and their caregivers can learn dances and songs from around the world at this event, held in partnership with the South Florida Chamber Ensemble. Get more information and register on the library events page.

Nicko McBrain presents An Evening with Capnharris (6 to 9 p.m.)

Longtime Iron Maiden drummer and Rock ‘N Roll Ribs co-owner Nicko McBrain will co-host an episode of the fan-powered YouTube show Capnharris to discuss the band’s music, history and much more. Tickets cost $137.50 and include dinner, merchandise and two McBrain autographed items. Learn more on Facebook.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce trivia night (6 to 9 p.m.)

Wings Plus on Sample Road will host Swifties for a night of karaoke and trivia to celebrate Swift and Kelce’s upcoming wedding. Learn more on Facebook.

City Commission special meeting (6:15 to 8:30 p.m.)
