Beloved doughnut shop coming to Coral Springs in early 2026. Here’s what we know
Mojo Donuts’ highly anticipated new location in Coral Springs is scheduled to open in early 2026.
The shop, founded in 2013 by entrepreneur Shawn Neifeld, has grown across South Florida thanks to its unique flavors. It went on to expand from one Broward County location to a total of four, three in Miami-Dade County.
It became a South Florida staple, garnering attention from Guy Fieri and Jennifer Lopez.
In 2022, Yelp ranked it as the fourth-most popular doughnut shop in the United States.
Like many other eateries, though, Mojo Donuts has had setbacks in recent years.
Jimmy Piedrahita, who franchised the Miami-Dade locations and added fried chicken to the menu, told the Miami New Times in late 2024 that high rent and operating costs forced closure of all but the original location in Pembroke Pines.
“Rest assured, Mojo Donuts remains dedicated to crafting the most delicious and creative donuts in South Florida,” Neifeld wrote in a news release at the time. “We’re not just continuing our operations; we’re expanding and innovating.”
The promised expansion became reality when the company signed a lease for 2810 N. University Drive in September, according to a Facebook post by Amera, the shopping center’s owner.
The shop, like its counterparts in the region, will have special promotions in is first months. That includes “Code 2 Tuesdays,” when customers can get two free doughnuts if they say the phrase “code two” twice in a row while ordering.
