Chocolate-drizzling dessert shop Melt N Dip is coming to Coral Springs
A new location of dessert chain Melt N Dip is expected to open in Coral Springs this year.
The shop will open at 2367 University Drive near the intersection with Royal Palm Boulevard, serving drinks, crepes, waffles and cakes, many of which are drizzled with chocolate topping.
“It’s a nice location, nice neighborhood,” owner Mohannad Abuosba told the Coral Springs News on May 12. “Lots of people who live there come to the Pembroke Pines location and ask if we could open there.”
The Pembroke Pines store opened in December, becoming the chain’s first location in South Florida.
The business, which is expected to be about 2,600 square feet, received a parking exemption from the Administrative Zoning Committee that will allow the owners to avoid having to expand the 140-space parking lot.
Most of the traffic to the business would come in the late afternoon and at night, so a traffic study found the existing size lot would be sufficient, according to city documents.
The proposed hours of operation are Monday through Sunday, 3 p.m. to midnight.
Another restaurant, NYC Halal Eats, is also expected to open in the same plaza, which currently contains a CVS, Hong Kong Dim Sum and a dental office.
