For an hour next month, Coral Springs’ City Hall Lawn will turn into an all-ages dance floor for the June edition of “Let’s Move” honoring former vice mayor Nancy Metayer’s legacy by embracing Caribbean traditions she held close to her heart.

Margate-based dance-workout studio In De Fete Fitness will host a free, high-energy class to celebrate movement, culture and connection on from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, featuring Soca, Reggae, Compa, Zouk and Afrobeats music.

Participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing, including sneakers, as well as a bandana or small national flag to dance with, according to city postings. Bringing a filled water bottle is also highly recommended.

The event is free but registration is required. Learn more at CoralSprings.gov/move.
