Lottery ticket worth nearly $60,000 sold at Publix in Broward. Here’s where

Broward County’s run of lottery luck has continued into July, with four jackpot winners in the month’s first eight days.

The latest: A nearly $60,000 Fantasy 5 ticket from a Publix grocery store.

The winner hit the jackpot in the Wednesday, July 8, midday drawing, matching all five numbers to win $56,656, Florida Lottery results show.

The ticket was sold at the Publix at 1700 Sheridan St. in Hollywood, and the winning numbers were 3-5-8-15-21.

It was the third Fantasy 5 jackpot winner in Broward this month, following wins in Lauderdale Lakes and Pompano Beach. The county’s lucky streak also includes a Florida Lotto ticket worth $6.75 million sold at a Fort Lauderdale Publix.

All of this comes after Broward saw 11 jackpot winners in June, with prizes ranging from $20,000 to $123,000.

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
