This weekend in Coral Springs: Work out for a cause or dance the night away
The rainy season has arrived in Coral Springs, but it isn’t slowing down weekend events in and around the city.
Art enthusiasts can enjoy a new exhibit at the Coral Springs Museum of Art. You can get hands-on with a free miniature-building class this weekend or jam out with plenty to eat and drink with Pig Vicious BBQ, Sharkey’s Bar and Grill — or several other live music options.

Faileontology: Oops, Fake Dinosaurs (1:30 to 2:30 p.m.)

Be one of the first guests at the Coral Springs Museum of Art’s free double-feature exhibition celebrating the American landscape through world-famous photography and contemporary art pieces. Summer at the library (10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
Celebrate the end of the school year at the Northwest Regional Library with various activities, crafts, face painting and more, with additional resources available for those who want to participate in the annual summer reading program. Meet local authors (2 to 3 p.m.)
Adults are invited to an intimate meet-and-greet with two local authors, Marilyn Johansen, author of “My Father’s Secrets,” and Amily D’Nas, author of “Beneath the Swaying Willow,” to learn about the inspirations, writing process and more. Register to attend on the library events page.
Miniatures building workshop (5 to 8 p.m.)
